The computer has automatic clip, but you still need to evaluate what and how it is clipping. Roger, you're giving out serious misinformation if you are of the opinion that waveforms and vectorscopes are not needed.

dude, you are so off about the editing issue. You are the asse that posts false statements about me on forums where I CAN'T EVEN RESPOND!

I tried to edit some of error in writing on my last reply (not mog-file, I meant mpg-file) and the forum software gave me this note:

    "FYI
Only administrators or moderators may perform this action"

Alex are you really serious? Is this your point of view how to get more mature conversations to your board? This type of behavior brings me back memories from time when Soviet Union was still alive.

About WP: Alex just send one 15 meter reel to Roger and let him transfer demo for you and you can notice how good quality you can get.

Hey, Jukka, these images on your web site look pretty okay.

Do you have any of those picutres with the negative Kodak movie film Vision 200? It looks like that's the way of the future for super 8 movies. I would like to see what that looks like.

<font size="2" face="verdana, sans-serif">Good grief. You really are desperate, aren't you? There are only two things than can clip, Alex: The black and the white. You can clearly see the effects of both on a standard video monitor and adjust the signal accordingly.

<font size="2" face="verdana, sans-serif">Nonsense. You, on the other hand, are trying to make it sound more compicated than it is just to make people believe that buying one of my products will require thousands of dollars of additional equipment for it to function. Total nonsense.

I've sold over 500 of these units and people all over the world are putting out beautiful transfers. Transfers by archive houses using the WorkPrinter-16 have ended up on broadcast television several times (Fox News, Mail Call, War Stories, Discovery Channel, A&E) and all were achieved without any of the equipment you insist is essential and all looked beautiful.

Do I have a waveform monitor and vector scope and a broadcast monitor? Yes. Do I find them necessary to create broadcast quality transfers? No.

Your attempts to make the process sound more complicated than necessary is silly, considering the number of people like Jukka, Cameraguy, Andreas and others that seem to be doing just fine.

Your workprinter can put out a fine product that could be improved if the transfer facility has the proper evalation equipment, meaning it's up to the end user to improve their
    monitoring gear over time.

So, start out fine, but over time get finer, that's the way of technology.

<font size="2" face="verdana, sans-serif">jukkasil, given the fact that Alex is a communist, I'm sure he takes that as a compliment.

I wouldn't doubt it if he has autographed Stalin pictures on his wall.
Let's just be thankful he doesn't get into politics.
He's obviously got the lying part of the job down.

Jukkasil, are you using a digital camera for these transfers?
